Welcome back to Booderee!
From Wednesday, 24 June 2020, visitors are welcomed to Booderee National Park as part of a staged reopening of the park.
Booderee National Park will be open for day use only, between 7 am and 6 pm. Most beaches and walking tracks will be open, meaning visitors will once again be able to enjoy this wonderful national park.
The following areas will be open to visitors:

- Green Patch
- Iluka
- Murrays Beach and boat ramp
- Bristol Point
- Ellmoos Road
- Cave Beach
- Booderee Botanic Gardens
Closed
- Camping Areas – All camping areas remain closed.
- Stoney Creek Road – This includes Cape St George Lighthouse, Moe’s Rock, Stoney Creek and Steamers Beach access.
- Booderee Visitors Centre – Car park is open for Wi-Fi access if required for park information and Visitor Centre staff will be available by phone and email.
- Summercloud Bay – This includes the boat ramp, beach and surf access in Summercloud Bay.
Don’t forget to maintain social distancing. Some paths or areas may be one-directional or have other health and safety restrictions related to COVID-19, so we request visitors please observe directional arrows and signs.

When will Booderee National Park re-open?
Areas of Booderee National Park will re-open to visitors from Wednesday, 24 June 2020, for day use from 7 am to 6pm.
Should I register for a park pass online?
Yes. We are encouraging all visitors to plan their trip and to go online for a park pass before you arrive at Booderee National Park. There is no cost. This will help us manage visitor numbers and respond to safety issues during COVID-19.
Do I need to social distance when I get to the park?
Yes. We want you to stay safe and we want our community to stay safe. We expect all visitors to practice social distancing and encourage everyone to practice good hygiene.
Can I go camping?
Camping is currently not permitted. We’re taking a cautious approach to re-opening the park and camping is not permitted during the first stage of re-opening.
Where can I fish when the park reopens?
Fishing is currently permitted in Booderee National Park waters and will be permitted from 24 June 2020 at beaches open to public access.
Are boats still permitted within Booderee National Park waters?
Boats are still permitted within national park waters, however they are not permitted to come ashore and recreate on the shore.
Can I ride my bike in the park?
Bike riding will be allowed in the park from 24 June 2020 in areas open to public access between 7 am and 6 pm.
When is full public access to all areas of Booderee National Park expected?
A date for further easing of restrictions to allow access to more areas of the park, or to allow activities such as camping, will depend on health advice and follow consultation with the park’s Traditional Owners.
