Booderee Summer Holiday Update
Booderee National Park is gearing up for a big summer with visitors expected to flock to the park these holidays.
Returning visitors will see a number of infrastructure upgrades have been rolled out across Booderee this year, including the Murrays Beach Boardwalk and upgrades to the Murrays carpark.
We are looking forward to a big influx of visitors over the summer holidays and I hope we get some nice warm days for you.
Beautiful beaches, spectacular walks and incredible wildlife are enticing attractions and we’re expecting Booderee to reach maximum visitor capacity on Christmas Day and Boxing Day through to mid-January.
This can result in temporary park closures for a few hours to manage the high number of people in the park so be prepared by planning your trip.
We encourage visitors to pre-book their park passes online and have their pass printed and ready to display before entering Booderee National Park.
A pre-booked pass guarantees you entry to the park if the park is temporarily closed due to visitor capacity limits being reached.
If capacity is reached traffic management arrangements will be in place at the Entry Station precinct on Naval College Road and a large, digital Variable Message Sign (VMS) located on Pacific Hill will notify visitors when the park is open and closed. Visitors who have an online pass printed and on display in their car can continue into the park even if the park is closed due to capacity.
We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience at Booderee this summer and we ask that you review our safety messaging before visiting the park.
We urge people to continue to social distancing and practice good hygiene while in the park.
