Upgrades coming to Booderee National Park
Booderee National Park is getting a facelift with a range of roadworks and amenity upgrades happening throughout 2025.
While the park’s natural beauty remains unchanged, you might notice some construction activity as we work to make your visit even better.
What’s happening?
New bridge on Stony Creek Road
- The final stages of roadworks on Stony Creek Road were completed in February.
- Construction of a new bridge to span the existing causeway will commence in May so be sure to watch for any temporary changes to your route.
Wreck Bay Road works
- Wreck Bay Road will undergo extensive roadworks, including pavement resealing, and installation of guardrails and safety barriers.
- While road access will still be available, there may be a few delays. We’re putting traffic management in place to minimise disruption.
Green Patch amenities
- Upgrades on D section toilet block began on 11 March and are expected to take 5-6 weeks.
- Once D section is complete, work will begin on Y section toilet block.
- Following completion of Y section, work will start on the day use block with completion expected in June. Nearby Green Patch facilities will be available at all times to ensure minimum disruption to park users.
Why these works?
These upgrades are all part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions, enhance safety, and ensure the long-term sustainability of Booderee National Park’s amenities. We want to make your visit smoother, safer, and even more enjoyable!
We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause and appreciate your understanding. We’ll continue to provide updates as the projects progress—thanks for your patience and cooperation.
