The Department of Defence is investigating potential PFAS contamination stemming from the historical use of liquid fire-fighting foams at Jervis Bay Range Facility and HMAS Creswell.

The Department of Defence has tested sites in Booderee National Park and no elevated levels of PFAS contamination have been found at any of the park’s visitation areas.

We understand however that some people are concerned and have questions about the PFAS investigation.

To address questions that recreational users of Booderee National Park may have about the PFAS investigation, we have consolidated information about the PFAS investigation into a factsheet.

More information is available from the Department of Defence Jervis Bay Range Facility PFAS Investigation and Management Program page.
