Booderee National Park is getting a facelift with a range of roadworks and amenity upgrades happening from now to March 2025.

While the Park’s natural beauty remains unchanged, you might notice some construction activity as we work to make your visit even better.

Cave Beach Road and the Botanic Gardens will be closed from 17 February to 7 March 2025.

The closure will allow significant roadworks to be carried out, to improve visitor safety and access within the Park.

The scheduled works are critical for enhancing the safety and usability of Park roads and include comprehensive pavement remediation, re-sealing and updating road markings.

The closure restricts access to:

  • Cave Beach
  • Cave Beach Campground
  • Cave Beach Lookout
  • Botanic Gardens.

During this period, there will be no access to the affected areas. Visitors planning trips to these locations are advised to reschedule their visits.

These upgrades are all part of ongoing efforts to improve road conditions, enhance safety and ensure the long-term sustainability of Booderee National Park’s amenities. We want to make your visit smoother, safer and even more enjoyable.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to welcoming you back to the newly improved areas soon.
